No longer heard are silent voices! Although the audible voice is gone, there's a message in their silence, vital to our today! ORE remembers one of our own, fallen in tragedy on the eve of his birthday. Nearing the anniversary of this loss, ORE remembers a silent voice, TEVIN.

Keith Wilson uttered the question yesterday afternoon, just hours after his 15-year-old son died from a gunshot wound to the head. Teven, who had battled ADHD and a bipolar disorder, was shot Sunday - his birthday - after a snowball fight with friends on the 4800 block of D Street in Feltonville turned vicious.

When there are losses in Mentorship

Looking at mentorship as an investment, We must understand:

In the case of Teven Rutledge, from a personal standpoint, this kind of loss takes a personal toll. Personally you must confront the issue of failure, was this because of something you “Did or Didn’t Do?” his experience must then be recycled to generate a even greater profit margin in the lives of the mentees that come after. If the issue is ignored, and not used to help other children, this loss becomes a failure.

**True success in mentorship, is for those that shift personal tragedy as a lesson for others**

As a community organization that serves youth at risk, we're always looking for new positive paths of exposure.
We're excited by our upcoming Events: MLK Day of Service ( listed above) and Bring our Brothers to Work day. We're focusing on the North and Central Philadelphia areas. If you'd be willing to adopt a young man for a day, we want to hear from you!

**SPECIAL NOTICE**
ORE is in desperate need of "SAFE/ Reliable " transportation for our youth, to and from our events. If you know a van rental or purchase, possibly even someone who is trying to donate, feel free to post or send an email with the contact information.

We have begun implementing the process for non-profit status, having our EIN number and fictitious name legally registered; and are in the process of getting our 501c3 incorporation.
Our organization has already received support from public dollars and in-kind donations ranging from Villanova University to The City Of Philadelphia Recreational fund grant as well as assistance from elected officials and well known celebrant organizations such as the "Tom Joyner Foundation Scholarship Fund" for this Metropolitan area.
